Blueberry Cheesecake

Ingredients
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cuo butter,melted
2 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
1 cup sugar
2 tsps. vanila
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 eggs
3 cups sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt
preserve blueberry , in a can, for garnish

TO PREPARE THE CRUST:
> combine the walnuts,cinnamon and graham cracker crumbs. Add the melted butter. Reserve 1/2 of the mixture for the top. Press the rest on the bottom and sides of an 8-inch springform pan.

> using a mixer, beat the cream cheese, sugar,vanilla, almond extract , and salt until the mixture become smooth.Add the eggs slowly and while beating at a lower pace.

TO PREPARE THE CHEESECAKE:
> Place the mixture in the crust and top with the reserved crumbs. Bake in an oven at 375 'F for atleast an hour. Cool on wire rack. chill for 5 hours.
> Garnish with Blueberry on top before serving

Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients:
1 pack spaghetti
1/4 kilo Bacon
3/4 cup cheeze , grated
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. pepper

Procedure ;

1. cook spaghetti according to package instruction
2. Fry bacon until crisp, crumble then set aside. Reserve some of the bacon fat.
3. Place the beaten eggs in a bowl.Add the cheeze and the white wine.Mix well.
4. pour egg mixture over the hot spaghetti. Season with pepper and bacon fat.Mix the hot spaghetti to cook the egg mixture
5. Garnish with crumble bacon.

Simple "Ice cream"

Things to be Prepared :

Handy Electric Mixer, medium Bowl , measuring glass , and ice cream molder

Ingredients ;

2 pack or 750 ml All purpose cream
1 can or 300 ml Condense milk
2tbsp Vanilla or any flavor u like
2 pack Oreo Chocolate cookies [pulvorized}

Procedure ;

In a medium bowl place the 750 ml all purpose cream and mixed up with ur electric mixer to the speed of # 3, then gradually add the condense milk, then the vanilla or any flavor you like, then when it becomes more pluffy add the pulvorized oreo cookies...then bring it to the sides .pour it into the ice cream molder and placed it in a freezer....

Note: Overnight freezing is better before eating..!

The FOX and The CROW

One day

the fox crawled through the orchard
he saw a bunch of grapes

hanging from the vines
clinging to the high branch,

he thought it was just what he wanted,

because he was thirsty,

he drew back a pace, run a few steps then

he jumped and reach for the bunch,

but the fox missed everytime he did
at last he gave up and walk away with nose in the air saying
"I'm sure those grapes are sour ".......

P.S. My first nursery rhyme teached by my mom, I learned since I was 8 yrs old and I learn by rote, I really liked the SENSE OF HUMOR of the fox and might be the reason why

i behave like a fox having a foxy minded sometimes.......Cheers Foh meh~!!!

BULGOGI

Bulgogi comes(gets) from Korea and signifies so much like "fire meat", in a Korean restaurant we have got to know it. Finally, we have our own Bulgogi of grill thing and have also already initiated it. This special grill is to be got in Germany under circumstances heavy and exists(consists) of a gas range on which then the "frying pan"("socket") is put on(arranged). There are the gas ranges and butane gas cartouches practically(virtually) in every Asia market, and probably also as a camping need. Against it(However) one hardly finds the frying pan(socket). In Frankfurt one has good chances to find a well sorted store, we have ordered(appointed) the black cast-iron frying pan(socket) then, however, in a store(loading) in Trier, there was the brass frying pan in Taiwan. Who would like to postcook and help(assistance) or other(farther) tips to the procurement needs(requires) can announce itself(can contact) with pleasure. Of course also who has good tips for us!;-)
There is a row of different prescriptions(recipes) to Bulgogi, we have and resolved to do(make) a little bit own variation(variant):

Ingredients for 2 persons:
300-400g fillet of beef or cattle hip
For the marinade:
1 tablespoon salty +2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce2 tablespoons of sake or white wine3 tablespoons of brown sugar or a little less sugar and grated half a pear(half a light bulb)1 tablespoon of oil (sesame-seed oil)1 tablespoon of sesame (roasted)3 toes garlic, hackedSteak spice or pepper
As additions:4 poles spring onions100 gs of champignon1-2 paprikas(peppers)1 small(little) courgette100 gs of mongoose's rungsor what one eats, otherwise, so with pleasure in vegetables

Vegetable stock
The meat(flesh) very thinly (approx. 2 mms) cut (with sharp knife or easily frozen with the bread slicer). The vegetables in discs(slices) cut. The sesame in a frying pan(in a socket) without oil brown lightly.For the marinade mix soy sauce, wine, sugar, sesame-seed oil, sesame, garlic and spice or pepper. Meat(Flesh) allow to mix with the marinade well and move at least 2 hours in the fridge. Who wants can also let the onions or the vegetables with move.
The vegetable stock is given in the channel of the frying pan(the socket). Meat(Flesh) with the marinade without other(farther) oil addition in the middle roast. One can roast the vegetables in addition or cook in the broth. With the time the water from the broth evaporates, hence, one has to go from and postpour. If one refills instead of waters with broth, it can become very salty with the time, hence, one should try out this.

We prepare salad(lettuce) and rice as an addition। If one takes out the vegetables with some broth, and with the rice eats together, it does not make dust with the masticating in such a way;-) Who knows a lot in the Korean kitchen(cuisine) better (than us up to now) does(makes) certainly Kimchi it, but in it we still work...

This recipe copied from the homepage of my great friend Rolf ..O~O!...I am permitted, Lol..., as what he suggested that I should try this special dish as it taste like heaven and don't have any idea how he compared BULGOGI to heaven,,hehehe, Oh! well am quite interested but the other ingredients are not much familiar to me so I need more tutorial to the seeker of this dish.....

USE VEGETABLES THE RIGHT WAY

Fruits and vegetables have since time immemorial formed an important part of man’s diet. Vegetarian food is advisable for all sorts of people, for children, mothers, pregnant women and for men too. Vegetables supply ample and essential nutrients. The fibre in vegetables help resist heart problems, cancer and diabetes. The vegetable plucked fresh daily from the garden and cooked are not only fresh and tasty but all the more nutritious. That is perhaps why people long back used to say that keep the pot of water to boil and then go out to pluck the vegetables from the garden. Wash the vegetables clean before cutting them. Washing the vegetable pieces after they are cut cause them to lose many essential minerals and vitamins which get washed away with the water. It is always better to cook the vegetables by putting them in boiling water. This helps to retain their original taste and prevents loss of essential minerals. It is always better to cook the vegetable unpeeled. Most of the vital nutrients in vegetables lie just beneath the skin. Cut the vegetables just before they are cooked. Steamed vegetables are the most nutritious. This helps save fuel too.

01. To refresh dried up vegetables, soak them in cold water for one hour. To the water add a few drops of lemon juice.

02. While cooking cabbage, a rich supplement of vitamin D, to get rid of the undesirable odour of the vegetables, add a few drops of lemon juice.

03· Do not throw away the outer leaves of the cabbage. These leaves contain a lot of nutrients which improve body resistance.

04· Keep the cauliflower pieces immersed in warm water to which a few drops of vinegar have been added. This helps kill the white colour worms usually found in cauliflower.

05· To retain the colour of cauliflower while cooking, add two dessert spoons of milk.

06· To test whether mushrooms are safe to be eaten, boil the mushrooms with 4-5 garlic pods in water. If the water turns black after sometime, the mushrooms are poisonous.

07· To prevent the slipperiness while frying the lady's finger, add 2 dessert spoons of curd or buttermilk before frying.

08· While cutting vegetables with stains like brinjal and raw bananas cut the pieces into water to which buttermilk, lemon juice or turmeric powder have been added.

09· Adding one teaspoon of vinegar to water in which potatoes are to be boiled, helps retain their original colour after cooking.

10· Vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes and beetroot should be peeled only after they are boiled. The boiled potatoes should be mashed/cut only after they cool well. Boiled potatoes mashed when they are hot turn watery when sauted with onions in oil.

11· The “koorka” (Chinese Potato) can be peeled easily by soaking the min water and then beating them on a rough surface properly tied up in a jute sack.

12· Onions can be stored for a longer period of time by storing them in flat trays/baskets where they can be spread out. Be sprouting of button onions can be prevented by drying the for sometime in the sun before storing.

13· Adding 3-4 drops of vinegar while cooking greenpeas helps retain their green colour.

14· Tomatoes can be skinned fast by showing them to the fire by means of a fork and then immediately immersing them in cold water. This way, the peel comes off on its own.

15· Curry leaves can be retained fresh for a longer time by tying them up in a banana leaf and sprinkling water.

16· Vegetables remain fresh for longer time if they are stored in plastic bags with both ends nipped off in the refrigerator.

17· For dishes which require lots of onions chop them and steam them before sauting in oil. This way, lesser oil will be required.

18· To lessen the bitterness of the bitter gourd, wash it in water with which rice has been washed

DENGUE FEVER PRECAUTIONS

Many cases of Dengue fever have been reported in Delhi and NCR. Following tips about this fever should be kept in mind :--

What is dengue fever? What is dengue hemorrhagic fever?

>Dengue fever is a Flu-like illness spread by the bite of an infected mosquito.
>Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a rare but severe, often fatal, complication of dengue fever.

What is the infectious agent that causes dengue?

Dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever are caused by any of the dengue family of viruses. Infection with one virus does not protect a person against infection with another.

How is dengue spread?

Dengue is spread by the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito. The mosquito transmits the disease by biting an infected person and then biting someone else.

Where is dengue found?

The mosquitoes that transmit dengue live among humans and breed in discarded tyres, flower pots, old oil drums, and water storage containers close to human dwellings. Aedes mosquito thrives in fresh water. Unlike the mosquitoes that cause malaria, dengue mosquitoes bite during the day.

What are the signs and symptoms of dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever?

1. Sudden high temperature.
2. Frontal Headache and pain lower abdomen.
3. Pain in eyes, joints and muscles. Pain is severe hence the name breakbone fever.
4. Nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.
5. Rashes in upper part of chest.
6. In later stage bleeding from nose, mouth, gums,or blood vomiting

(Dengue Hemorrhagic fever). How soon after exposure do symptoms appear?

The time between the bite of a mosquito carrying dengue virus and the start of symptoms averages 4 to 6 days, with a range of 3 to 14 days. An infected person cannot spread the infection to other persons but can be a source of dengue virus for mosquitoes for about 6 days.

How is dengue diagnosed?

Dengue is diagnosed by a Blood Test.

Who is at risk for dengue?

Anyone who is bitten by an infected mosquito can get dengue fever. Risk factors for dengue hemorrhagic fever include a person's age and immune status, as well as the type of infecting virus. Persons who were previously infected with one or more types of dengue virus are thought to be at greater risk for developing dengue hemorrhagic fever if infected again.

What is the treatment for dengue and dengue hemorrhagic fever?

There is no specific treatment for dengue.
Persons with dengue fever should rest and drink plenty of fluids.
They should be kept away from mosquitoes for the protection of others.
Aspirin should be avoided.
Most people recover completely in two weeks time.
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is treated by replacing lost fluids.
Some patients need platelet transfusions to control bleeding.

How can dengue be prevented?

There is no vaccine to prevent dengue.
Prevention centers on avoiding mosquito bites and eliminating mosquito breeding sites.

Avoid mosquito bite :

Use mosquito repellents on skin and clothing. When outdoors during times that mosquitoes are biting, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks. When indoors, stay in air-conditioned or screened areas. Use mosquito nets if sleeping areas are not wire-meshed or air-conditioned. If you have symptoms of dengue, report to your doctor.


Eliminate mosquito breeding sites: Eliminate mosquito breeding sites around homes. Discard items that can collect rain or run-off water, especially old tyres. Regularly change the water in pet and animal water containers, money plants, desert coolers, other water storage containers.
